When you needed a strong bench

John Ryan replaced Damien Mullen’s at half time, where The Darkest Force hit 1-02 in the opening four minutes with the goal coming from Billy Kelly and points from John Moore and Christopher Hand.

But that was as good as it got for St Brendan’s 2nd XV as Whitehall bought on a number of strong substitutes who were all eager to get game time which showed when all contributed by scoring five goals in the final twenty minutes.

Despite that, Emmet Kelly played a good ball to Paul Farrelly and onto Padraig Pratt who palmed the ball into the path of John Moore for St Brendan’s third goal.

Christopher Hand had the final say of the match by converting a free with the last kick of the game.
