2025 hasn't been the best of seasons yet for the St Brendan’s Hurlers. Obviously decimated by players leaving in the off season and two defeats so far in AHL6, The Hurlers, sponsored by Bodibro, put those problems aside for the morning and face Clontarf in Round 5 of AHL6 on Sunday May the 4th (be with you)

Footballers, The Bombscare Donal Clarke, The Golden Mullet Conall Morgan and Kevin ‘76’ Berry all gave a handout to the Hurlers (and fair play to them) for todays match.

Despite losing 3-14 to 1-9, with Cian Walsh getting the goal, the Dark Force will feel tremendously encouraged by a much-improved performance and that they feel they can get a result or two in the next fixtures, away to Trinity Gaels on May 13th (a bit of a grudge match from last year!) and at home to Ballinteer St Johns on May 18th.

Meanwhile on April 30th, The three St Brendan’s Ladies Football teams were in action in the League.

In Grangegorman, The 1st XV, Sponsored by McGowans, made it 4 wins from 4 in AFL3 with a 2-12 to 2-10 victory over St Finians Swords. In a match where The Female Dark Force were trailing by six points at half time, Faye ‘Dunaway’ Kearney and The Moonlighter Niamh Willis got crucial second half goals to keep the undefeated League record going.

In Donabate, The 2nd XV, Sponsored by Bartra Healthcare continue their good form on Division 7 with a 5-6 to 3-8 victory over St Patricks Donabate. Niamh Dwyer got 2 goals,  and Sinéad McKenna, Méabh O’Dea and Niamh Cooney got one goal each.

In Mobhi Road, The 3rd XV, sponsored by FTI Consulting, went down 5-12 to 0-2 to the Na Fianna 5th XV in Division 11, on their last Wednesday evening fixture of the year and will be playing on Monday evenings for the rest of the season..
